Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy in Colorado

I am now offering legal psilocybin-assisted therapy under Colorado’s Natural Medicine Health Act.

Psilocybin-assisted therapy might be a good fit if…

  • You feel stuck in patterns you can’t think your way out of

  • You’ve done therapy—maybe even deeper modalities like EMDR—but something still feels unresolved

  • You’re struggling with substance use and feel caught in a cycle you haven’t been able to shift, despite your efforts

  • You’re carrying trauma that feels stored in your body, not just your thoughts

  • You’re finding that insight alone hasn’t created the change you’re looking for

  • You’re navigating end-of-life concerns—your own or a loved one’s—and wanting support around fear, grief, or meaning-making

  • You’re seeking a deeper sense of clarity, purpose, or connection to yourself

  • You’re grappling with bigger questions about spirituality, meaning, purpose, or your place in the world

  • You feel called to explore this work, but want to do so in a safe, structured, and supported way

"The psychedelic experience is a gateway to the inner world, where we confront the essence of existence."

- Albert Hofmann

What is psilocybin-assisted therapy?

Psilocybin-assisted therapy is a therapeutic approach that combines the use of psilocybin—a naturally occurring psychedelic compound found in certain mushrooms—with professional mental health support. This form of psychedelic therapy helps clients access deeper emotional insight, process unresolved trauma, and cultivate a greater sense of meaning, purpose, and inner connection.

For thousands of years, psilocybin has been used by Indigenous cultures in sacred and healing ceremonies. Today, Western clinical research is confirming what these traditions have long understood: psilocybin can support profound emotional healing, transformation, and personal growth when used in a safe, supportive, and regulated environment.

In Colorado’s regulated model, psilocybin-assisted therapy is facilitated through the state’s Natural Medicine Program, where trained and licensed clinical facilitators provide preparation, administration, and integration sessions. In this legal and structured setting, adults can explore psilocybin with professional guidance, allowing for deep therapeutic work and lasting change.

Clinical research studies have shown strong evidence for the effectiveness of psilocybin-assisted therapy in treating:

  • Major depressive disorder

  • Treatment-resistant depression

  • End-of-life anxiety and depression

  • PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder)

  • Alcohol use disorder

  • Tobacco addiction

  • Other substance use disorders

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

  • Cluster headaches

  • Spiritual distress or loss of meaning

Want to know exactly what the process will look like? Explore below.

  • A free 20-minute call to explore whether this work may be a good fit for you.

We’ll talk briefly about what’s bringing you here, what you’re hoping for, and any initial questions or concerns you have. I’ll also ask a few high-level questions about your medical and mental health history, and offer an honest sense of whether this work feels appropriate for you—along with any considerations or next steps.

There’s no pressure to move forward—this is simply a space to get a feel for the process and decide if it feels aligned.

  • If we decide to move forward, you’ll complete onboarding through the licensed healing center I work with (Go Within Collective - more information further down on this webpage). This includes consent forms, a client agreement, and some initial paperwork about your medical and mental health history.

This process helps us ensure you’re set up for a safe and supported experience, and gives me important context as we begin our preparation work together.

If needed, you also have the option to consult with our medical provider for additional screening or guidance.

  • We’ll meet for 2–3+ preparation sessions leading up to your journey.

This is a meaningful part of the process—not just planning, but setting the foundation for a safe and supported experience. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, building rapport, and exploring what’s bringing you to this work, including any places you may feel stuck in therapy or in your life.

We’ll clarify your intentions, talk through what to expect during the experience, and prepare for how to navigate difficult or unexpected moments if they arise. We’ll also review grounding tools, address any fears or anxieties, and make a plan for the logistics of your session day.

This phase also includes finalizing consent and safety planning, so you can enter the experience feeling informed, resourced, and supported.

If you’re already working with a therapist or other providers, I’m happy to collaborate to support continuity of care.

  • Your psilocybin session takes place at a licensed healing center (Go Within Collective) in a safe, comfortable, and intentionally designed setting. Sessions typically last several hours.

At the start of the day, we’ll take time to ground, review your intentions, and help you settle into the space. Once the medicine takes effect, much of the experience is inward—often with eyeshades and music—allowing you to focus on your internal experience without distraction.

I’ll be there with you throughout the entire session, offering a steady, supportive presence. At times, that may simply mean holding space; at other times, I may offer gentle guidance to help you stay oriented or move through challenging moments.

These experiences can be emotionally intense or unpredictable at times, but you won’t be navigating them alone. You remain in control, and we move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

  • We’ll meet for 2–3 integration sessions after your journey.

This is where we begin to make sense of your experience—exploring what came up, what felt meaningful, and how it connects to your life, patterns, and relationships.

Together, we’ll work to translate insights into something tangible, whether that’s shifts in perspective, changes in behavior, or new ways of relating to yourself and others. Integration helps ensure the experience doesn’t just stay as a memory, but becomes something that supports real, lasting change.

If you’re already working with a therapist or other providers, I’m happy to coordinate with them so this work is supported within your broader care.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, drawing from parts work, mindfulness, and depth-oriented therapy.

At the core of this work is a real, human-to-human connection. My priority is helping you feel safe, supported, and resourced—because that’s what allows you to surrender, go deeper, and engage fully with the experience.

Psilocybin work can be profound, emotional, and at times hard to put into words. I respect both the psychological and the more ineffable aspects of this process, and I meet it with curiosity, steadiness, and care.

I bring a balance of groundedness and lightness to the work. This can be an intense and sometimes strange experience, and we don’t have to take ourselves too seriously in it. Humor is important too!

Ultimately, I see this as part of a larger process—not just a single experience, but a catalyst for meaningful, ongoing change and deeper self-understanding.

More FAQs

  • Psilocybin can shift your perception, emotions, and sense of time, which can feel unfamiliar at times. However, you remain aware that you’re in a guided experience—you’re not “out of control.”

A big part of preparation is helping you feel resourced and oriented so you can navigate whatever arises. During the session, I’m there the entire time to support you if things feel intense or disorienting.

  • Challenging moments can happen, and they’re often a meaningful part of the process rather than something to avoid.

In preparation, we’ll talk through how to approach these experiences and build tools to help you stay grounded. During the session, I’m there to support you in navigating whatever arises—so you’re not facing it alone.

We’ll also revisit anything that felt difficult during integration, helping you make sense of it in a way that supports healing rather than overwhelm.

  • Each experience is unique, but many people notice shifts in perception, emotion, and insight. You may feel more connected to your thoughts, memories, or body, and emotions can feel more accessible or intensified.

Some experiences are deeply introspective or meaningful; others can feel unfamiliar or unpredictable. Rather than trying to control the experience, we focus on helping you stay present and engaged with whatever unfolds.

  • When done in a structured, supported setting with proper screening and preparation, psilocybin-assisted therapy can be a safe and meaningful experience for many people.

That said, it’s not appropriate for everyone. Part of the process includes careful screening, preparation, and ongoing support to reduce risk and ensure you’re a good fit for this work.

Your safety—both physically and psychologically—is the top priority throughout the entire process.

  • For most people, a full psilocybin-assisted therapy process—including preparation, the administration session, and integration—typically ranges from $3,200–$3,500.

This reflects the full scope of care and the structured, safety-focused nature of this work within Colorado’s regulated model.

I’m happy to walk you through the details and help you determine whether this feels like the right fit for you.
